Ufi-supported organisations make EdTech top 50 list

Four Ufi-supported organisations, including three Ufi Ventures portfolio companies, have made BusinessCloud’s EdTech 50 ranking for 2024.

The list recognises the most innovative education technology creators in the UK.

BusinessCloud’s readers and an expert judging panel decided the country’s most innovative startups, scaleups and established technology firms.

Ufi-supported organisation CENTURY came in 13th place on the top EdTech 50 list.

CENTURY use artificial intelligence to recommend courses and provide tailored learning resources to learners in FE undertaking Initial Assessments in English and maths.

They received funding from Ufi in 2021 as part of the VocTech Challenge: Levelling up learning. This programme supported the development of VocTech solutions which focussed on helping adults get the confidence they need to gain skills for work.

As part of the EdTech ranking, BusinessCloud polled the top 50 companies and the judging panel to find out the latest trends in EdTech and workplace development.

Of those polled, 75% said they had seen an acceleration in the adoption of education technology over the past 12 months. However, 80% said not enough is being done to improve accessibility and inclusivity in education and workplace development.

At Ufi we support the development and deployment of vocational technology to help adults gain skills for work. We have a particular role in unlocking potential in the communities, sectors, skill levels and places currently underserved by mainstream provision, helping ensure everyone is included and no one is left behind.
